275/40/17

Hello,

New to the forum. I'm looking for a set of drag tires for my car. Do you guys think i could fit a set of 275/40/17 MT Street radials in back with removing the inner fenders?

Thank you

275s wow that is aggressive. I hope you are replacing the engine too. you just cant make the kind of power that these tires with all that meat will need to handle. (Unless we will see you on the next season of streeet outlaws then all bets are off.)

With that said you will definately have to do some modificatoins to it so how much you want to hack it up is up to you. There would be no limit to how far you tub but the question that would remain would be do you still want to use the retractable top and are you willing to add some kind of support brackets or cage to the rear end to stabalize it once you do the cutting.

N54 with RB turbo swap and supporting mods can make 500whp. We aren't sure about OPs setup or power goals but I personally don't think 275 is too aggressive

Even cobb stage 1 only will squeal 265 wide tires so with big power mods there is definitely a need for as much rear tire as possible

OP, I think others have tried but it depends on the tire, wheel offset and camber settings on whether it will rub

275 street vs 275 slicks are different animals.

I'm afraid the 255/35/18 dot tires are the one to get then if there is too much to do. Or i might just flare the fenders to add room.

As for the car it curently makes less than 250whp but the plan is go beyond 600. The only holdback is the dct and im in talks with dodson to have mine upgraded then ita just a matter of choosing the turbo.
Since im buying alot od parts from US figured what the hell and why not get the tires right now as well.

Thank you

Will this be a dedicated track car? I'm all up for track day, straight line and corners, and also up for turbo upgrades. MORE POWER = MORE SMILE.

Don't know if this would be the best platform for a dedicated track rat.

Btw Im running Cobb stage 1 aggressive fmic and I love it , and will have dp early next year. If your 250 rwhp maybe try Cobb +fob first before going custom? You'd be surprised how much a little work can do on the n54.
