Acceleration 'warble'
I am running my 2010 35i with ESS Tune stage II. When under heavy acceleration in both 2nd and 3rd gear, from about 3500 RPM to about 6000 RPM I have a distinct warble or pulse in the acceleration. It is more annoying than anything else. Seems to be more pronounced in hot and humid weather than on cool mornings.
Any ideas what might be causing this warble/pulse? Thanks |

Mass air flow sensor, fuel pressure regulator, fuel injector, air filter, fuel filter, fuel pump, etc, just to name a few. The other possibility is the tune programing itself. I left that to last because one would assume others would have talked about it but you never know.
The dealer is the only one that can adequately diagnose this problem, and he's not going to like your tune. Talk to your tuning expert and ask him to return the ECU back to it's original spec before you take it in to the dealer.

Update. Since the weather has taken a turn to cool / chilly, the acceleration warble/fluctuation has disappeared. So it would appear that the issue only happens when the weather is hot & humid.
