Is DSC totally turned off in Sport + or just partially?

I have recently gotten addicted to driving the 35is in sport + mode (only in the dry tho) and have done searches here and elsewhere to see if the Dynamic Stability Control is totally switched off or just attenuated and kicks in at a later point. I know the Dynamic Traction Control is activated when Sport + is chosen but I don't really know why that occurs either. Anyone with any insight as I love the feel of the car in sport + but would like some of the driving nannies to help if I do something stupid...

Sport+ is 50% off. To take it 100% off you need to keep pressing the DSC for some seconds.

So does that mean that @ 50% off the dsc just comes on much later to prevent losing the tail? Or does that mean that the dsc is only at 50% full power

silly question perhaps but I'm afraid to drive with the sport plus bc I thought it meant there is no Stability control on at all

thanks

Constant.S: What do you mean by continuing to press the DCT and then it is 100% off? DCT=double clutch transmission. Did you mean DDC(dynamic driving control) or DSC (Dynamic stability control)?

It means that the DSC interferes less and much later letting the "tail slide" a bit but corrects it eventually. It's meant for more "spirited driving". Also with Sport+ The throttle is more responsive and the steering wheel stiffens up.

So why do I get a warning lamp that says OFF in Sport+?

Cause its 50% off, you can still lose the tail and crash.

I guess it is what it is.

Perhaps the intent is to make the driver more cautious by making the driver think it is completely off, but saving them when they really screws up. But OFF is very misleading.

I believe in Sport+, the traction control is completely off (or in a mode called dynamic traction control), same as pressing Trac Off in Normal mode. You should be able to spin the tires from a standing start but it won't let the car get sideways. I was told by the folks at the Performance Center that Sport+ allows a LOT of tail slide, and one should be careful with it on the street. Maybe he was just trying to scare me into not using it but I stayed in Sport mode for all of my laps and was able to balance the car nicely and not kill power on corner exit either.
