Screws to raise headlights?

Hi Folks,
Unlike my E92, I cannot find the screws under the hood near the headlight assemblies which allow you to manually adjust the height of your lowbeams. My headlights are too low, as they were on my E92. By turning these screws counter-clockwise a full rotation I was able to slightly raise my headlights.

Anyone have a pic of under the Z's hood of where I should be looking--assuming it is a similar setup as the 3er.
Thanks

Hi Kief,

Take this overview photo ((c) KINetics right out of this forum) and locate the black covers for the H8 lamps under the hood (and leave them where they are):

Then look for the white hexagon sockets behind the lights and the black covers (the black cover for the H8 lamp is open in this picture, again ((c) KINetics):

With these white sockets you can raise your headlights - if one rotation is not sufficient, try 2 or 3 rotations (just as I had to). Please check that the self-levelling headlamp system is still working (push down front of the car, light should remain at the same level) after your modification.

Best regards

Mick

Thanks Mick!
I saw them, but didn't want to start messing around unless I knew they were the sockets to manually adjust.

To correct myself, anyone who wants to raise their headlights manually, turn the white screws CLOCKWISE. Counter-clockwise lowers them even further.

Do you have a picture of the height on a wall after the adjustment?

Sorry, I don't.
I just figured out early this morning that I was rotating the screws the wrong way!
I figured the adjustment was similar to my 3er and just counter-rotated the screws 360 degrees while the car was turned off and in my garage. Next morning, no difference. Figured I had to rotate them again. This moring, I could barely see! Finally, decided to line the car up against a wall (with the lights on--imagine that!) and correctly adjusted the lights. Bingo!

If possible, could you measure the height of where your lights are set at after the adjustment? I'm just curious as to how this compares to my Z4. I haven't noticed the lights being too low on my car.
