17 inch tyre pressure ?

i have 17 inch wheels on my car.225/45/17.

inside the door , recommended pressure is 2,4 bar ( 35psi) front , 2,9 bar(42psi) for rear tyres..

i think 42 psi is too high..what do u use on your 17inch wheels ? should i use recommended pressure's

I keep 35 psi in rear and front. Ride is too harsh with 42 psi in rear.

Yes. That's why it is on the door and recommended by the manufacturer !

My wife's 328 has the same size tires as you and the recommendation on the door of her car is the same as yours, and I do use those tires pressures. The ride is fine.

I use the "over 100mph" pressure recommendation for my 19s because I read speculation that the higher tire pressure can help keep the wheels from cracking (more air makes it less likely the wheel will hit the road when going over bumps)
