Fogging and Condensation in rear light clusters
Hi
Can any one help? I purchased my Z4 (23i sdrive '59') last Sept. On colder and wetter days the rear light clusters fog which then turns into condensation. This rarely dries out at this time of year and as a result creates a reservoir of water in both rear clusters. Ive now had these replaced by the BMW dealer who sold it to me 4 times since last Sept! They still fog and collect water!! Has anyone come across this, and if so were you able to fix this and how? |

I think you have a seal problem.
Funny that the BMW dealership cannot resolve this. See if you can find out what Body Shop your BMW dealership recommends then I would bring the car to them. The Body Shop may have more experience and should resolve this for you. Obviously moisture gets either past the rubber seal or there may be a defect (crack or slight opening in the housing). If someone carefully examines both the housing and the seal fit then this should be resolved. Good Luck

I had the problem on one side when new. One trip and they fixed the problem for me.
