New HPFP to be installed on Tuesday...

Long cranks are getting progressively worse. Today was 8 or 9 seconds of cranking and the car never started. Had to push the button again and the car fired the second time. I called my SA and he said bring it in Tuesday for a new fuel pump. I still can't believe BMW is still installing bad fuel pumps on brand new models.

Thanks for the update. Sorry to hear this. Looks like I won't be ordering any time soon in that case. Everyday I drive my 135i I worry about the HPFP going. Although covered under warranty, it's just such a hassle to take in and if it goes at the wrong time it could leave you stranded...

BMW got to fix this ASAP.

I have the fuel pump code, so shouldn't get any grief from the dealer. I checked last night with BT cable. No tuner codes either. I have read that many dealers would not replace the HPFP without the code. I hope I get a better pump this time around. I reinstalled the factory airbox and removed the JB+ so I am ready to go.

This is one of the reasons I am considering the 3.0 non-turbo engine.
