Can I ask you to please confirm this? The standard 17" wheels on the 30i are Style 290 and the standard 17" wheels on the 35i is Style 292. You saying that the 290 won't fit the 35i on the front?

The design of the 35i is made to have a wider wheel in the back "staggered". That's why even the base model of the 35i comes with 17x8 225-45-17 in the front and 17x8.5 255-40-17 in the back. Also with the bigger calipers, not all 17inch wheels will fit. Since BMW is not going to make a Z4M, The 35i is designed to be upgradable.

It is too bad that the Style 290 wheels from the 30i won't fit on a 35i. I was looking at picking up a set to use for mounting my winter tires but it seems that won't work now.

Back to the drawing board. Thanks for your help.

MSIMON18,

Please see new POST called "Feeback on S30i and 6 speed manual?" where several folks talk about how "smooth" the DCT is.
