iPhone cradle

Can someone post a pic of their iPhone cradle in the car. I see a lot of closeup shots, but none showing the actual location within the armrest. Do you still have the two useless cup-holders?

Also, not trying to beat a dead topic, but it is possible to install the iPhone cradle w/o the smart phone integration package ordered? Or does the cradle have a connector sticking out making it impossible to install w/o that option?

They don't call it Smart Phone for the UK but my understanding is that you need this first. It comes with an insert (protecting the contacts) that has to be removed to be replaced with whichever cradle is specific to your phone. It replaces the tray beside the two admittedly useless cupholders.

It can be retrofitted I am sure.

Yes, you need the smartphone prep. There is a small plastic cover in the useless storage space next to the useless cup holders. You remove the small plastic cover (now useless) which exposes the contacts you purchased with the smartphone prep and then you snap in the iphone holder. The cup holders remain..
