Z4 E89 Cubby Removal

Hello all, new to the forums here... I am looking to do a tablet installation and need to remove the cubby in the dash. Anyone know where I can find a nice DIY guide for this? I searched all over google for the past few days and cant find anything definitive... I purchased the OEM Garmin Navigation Portable Pro dash/trim piece to replace the cubby and it did not come with directions. All the directions I find online are about the wiring of the unit..

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

If you mean the cubby up on top of the dash it's probably held in just like the iDrive screen. Check my thread here for step-by-step instructions how to get that out.

Thanks... did my custom install this weekend and you were 100% right on how to remove the cubby.

Is the cubby the same size as the screen? e.g. if retrofitting cic navigation
