I love the 3.0si engine. It provides more than enough power in most everyday situations and still prefer it over the bi-turbos. But I should maybe elaborate on what I was trying to say...
There, FIXED... thats better. S54 with all it accollades('Best Engine' 6yrs in a row) is still the best overall, if the expensive valve adjustments and slightly higher maintenance don't scare you away.

It fixes the front of the car, but it ruins the rear of the car.. IMO the current Z4 M Coupe has the best looking rear of any current BMW.
Cant wait to see it without camo

Here's a link to an article with a good summary of the pics of the evolution thus far http://www.leftlanenews.com/bmw-z4-future.html

A few thoughts...
Looks like lots of body roll... Huge wheels looks like it might be a prototype to ACS for them to start doing some testing... And...I'm guessing the new paint is going to be called "Draino Black"

Wow if that thing gets the N54 it will be nasty, which is very likely with that dual exhaust

-Photos can be misleading because they don't show speed. I've seen pics of my Z4 showing more body roll than a stock Z4 MC on the same corner at the track. What the photos don't show is my car loading another .15g on the suspension in that turn. The best you can do is try to figure G load by looking at the tire sidewall deflection in the picture, but even that can be affected by tire manufacturer and profile.
-Agreed. |

Dammit, our cars are going to be old news. The new shape of the z4 looks really good, i can picture it having cleaner lines and more mature looking like how Audi made the new tt compared to the old one.
Oh wells, i dont think i'll consider trading my z4 in for a new one but I can smell a used 997S
