2.0 N20 engine whine?
Hi,
New member here but have been browsing the forum for a few weeks Picked up my new 2.0 M Sport a few weeks back and loving it and good to be back to a petrol motor after my 1 Series diesel Anyways I just wandered if there are any co-owners experiencing an engine whine when started from cold, its not especially loud but noticeable and hard to pinpoint in the engine bay. The whine increase with pitch if you rev the engine and normally goes once warmed up. Unsure if its a fault or not, like a duff alternator or drive belt, although the Zed is brand new Some pics when I picked up from the dealer, Many thanks, Tim. |

Thanks for the replies, I'm unsure I like turbo whine then as it sounds a bit crappy
I've been doing some googling and seems to be something that affects some of the 3 series engines but not heard of anything on the N20 engine used in the Z4. Find it hard to beleive it should sound like that. Tim. |
