Just that their 1st class is a coach. However......
I would rather ride a 4hr flight with little leg room than fly 12 hours on a bed.

It would be my dream to have a Concord as my private jet.

I don't think so honestly. SSTO tech will be more cost effective and faster

I took a Sigma 6 class where we covered the Air France Concorde disaster in detail. That was a nightmare where anything that could go wrong did go wrong. So many things piled up on them that they were doomed once they started rolling. Must have been a terrifying few minutes for those poor souls on board.

Lots of dogging on United, but I've flown with them for the past eight years and cannot say anything bad about them. Some of their domestic planes are a bit older, but when I compare United to Delta or some of the other named above, they are quite wonderful.

Six Sigma on airline industry can be doable, if they use the variable as "second" instead of hour.

I try to stick to Virgin America since I live in the city of their main hub. The planes are new, staff is great, more legroom than United, US Airway, Delta, etc, they also have a screen on every seat even on domestic flights.

The trip home appeared to be perfect today *until* my year-old suitcase showed up on the carousel ripped wide open. They offered to "repair" it. I told the baggage office kid to forget it and started to walk away. Then he stops me and says to wait a minute. He disappears and comes back with a brand new bag that was slightly larger than mine. It at least saved me from worrying about losing stuff, although it's a cheap piece of shit that I'll have to replace before I fly again.

Lol at commercial flights. You peasants don't have G5 planes in your backyard?
Just kidding. I flew with US Airways the other day and they were fine. I've only had complaints with Delta, I think.

You are bound to have some screw ups if you travel frequently, doesn't matter which airlines.

Been flying with united almost exclusively for years now, don't really any compliant. Been bumped to business class/first class quite a few times even on international flights, and I am just a silver member. Yes, I have been stuck at Vancouver and Munich airport for almost a day each due to mechanical problems, but these things just happens.

My thoughts is that you stick to flying with an airline that has its hub/hq at your home city's airport. That way you will have more flights and backup planes available in case something happens to your original flight. United just happen to have its hub at Chicago Ohare.

Which is exactly why we won't fly out of the small local airport (Willard in Savoy, IL) any more. Any mechanical/crew issue results in a delayed/cancelled flight. We've had four delays/cancellations in the last 8 tries flying in or out of there. Plus the flights from O'Hare to Willard get cancelled or delayed often enough that it's just as fast to drive the 3.5 hours home once we get back to O'Hare. No worth the hassle for the occasional time savings.

All my luggage is Tumi, and I recently purchased a fresh one about a year or so ago. When the bag a few months ago came off the carousel, it looked like it had become wedged under or crushed by a machine. The Tumi bags are quite solid, but it was definitely damaged beyond what you would expect a baggage handlers negligence to inflict. So I read through the Tumi fine print in the warranty, and they actually warranty ANY kind of damage for the first year. So whether an 18-wheeler drives over it, or it falls from a plane at 20,000 feet, it's covered under warranty. Needless to say, I dropped it off at my local Tumi shop, and received it back fully repaired a week later. Hats off!

Sorry, I don't do 7-11 GULFstream Gx50.
Too many of those (mostly rented/Charter) parked at Aspen-Pitkin airport.

Wow. So on my 9 hour flight back with US Airways the seats didn't have TVs on them. I felt like I was in the 90s or something. I couldn't fall asleep and didn't even bring a book with me because I figured I'd be watching movies the whole flight.

US 757 by chance or the old school 767-200?

Imo, all american airlines treat passengers like shit.
I prefer Singapore, Cathay, Emirates.

all airlines are pretty bad. if you travel enough you'll realize how often you have to sit due to delays no matter what the airline. the only option is to pick the one with the best benefits and miles to help compensate for the bs. i'm glad i don't travel as much as i use to.

+1. Practically anything American domestic is crap. They have everyone competing so heavily in price, they forget about quality.

I like JetBlue and Southwest. Tolerate United and Delta. Hate American/US Airways.

JetBlue's new Mint experience looks awesome though. Too bad it is limited to JFK to LAX/SFO routes right now.

You should fly EL-AL. The amentities on their 747s are very outdated. I had an 11 hour flight back from Tel Aviv to JFK where the seat tv wasn't working and I was in one of the last few rows which had reduced space due to the tail of the plane becoming narrower. On top of that I had food posioning and spent the majority of the flight puking my brains out.

Sounds like hell, seriously. I cannot imagine a worse flight. (Obviously excluding plane crashes)
