'washer' fall out of roof mechanism?

I just had what appears to be a piece of a washer or spacer(?) from the roof mechanism fall out. It appears to be non-crucial as the roof still moves properly but wondering if any members encountered the same/similar thing? It is made out of plastic, round and yellow-brown in color.
