Actually, there is a rather infamous thread with somebody reporting quite a leak while washing their car .... not sure if it got shut down / removed, it got quite heated.

Please tell us you don't have a butler (or any other house servant) that was hanging onto the roof with a bucket and a sponge, washing your car while you were driving.

Probably a loose seal somewhere, just take it in..
Just be sure not to try and replicate it with a power wash and then try to document with a video camera while watching MTV on your ultra expensive work laptop. Last edited by Wraith.; 08-11-2011 at 05:46 PM.. |

That would definitely get you attention and make for a good post in the STALKERS thread!

Reminds me of a joke...
Q. Why did the Walrus go to the tupperware party? A. He was looking for a tight seal.

Yes, I have the same problem when the rain is really heavy. comes in the top driver pillar and drops right on the knee. brought it in and the dealer said it was normal dripping from when a door is open. i think it really happens at speed in heavy rain so it is hard to replicate at a dealership.

Here's how I translate what the dealer told you: "We think you're full of sh%^ that the roof is leaking, so it MUST be coming in when you open your door." Tell them to get off their ass and diagnose the problem. Maybe run a hose on it with some good pressure, and not to call you back until they pinpoint the problem and fix it. Water should never be dripping into the car. |

My money was on your advice being to get a manservant to video the leaking while driving at the speed limit in a storm - preferably while he sat on your top end laptop that normally gets priority seating space in the passenger seat. Thank God (or insert deity of your choice) that I have a sense of humour, even if no one else gets it...
