35i vs Audi TTS vs Hyundai Coupe V6 (anyone read German?)

(I'm guessing it's German?)

The acceleration times are good but the lap times suck for us. Wow, it's that bad of a track car?

Acceleration times are not "good". In fact they are way, way off. Both TTS and 35i have been tested much faster 0-60 mph by EVERYONE else. In some instances over a second faster. This concerns me that the lap times may also be unrelaible for both cars. As far as the Genesis, I don't know how accurate the numbers are and don't care.

Did it say anything in the article about the size of the boat anchor they stuffed in the trunk of each car? Or, perhaps they ran the test with a 50 mph headwind they forgot to account for ??????

^Haha, you're right, I only focused where it's generally faster accelerating vs the other 2 but, ya, we're supposed to have sub-5 for 0-60.

Does getting to the extra 2 mph even amount to an extra 10th of a second? I'm not sure. Just questioning.

The Z4 35i has been tested as low as 4.9 seconds 0-60 mph. Official numbers are in the 5.2 to 5.3 range. They must have tested during OktoberFest with a fat German full of Bratwurst and beer!

As for the track, getting rid of the stupid run-flat tires should allow the Z4 to get on top.
Here's a real life example:

There's a tight street corner in my neighborhood I like to take at the limit of handling; here're the top speeds I've been able to achieve so far:

Z4 35i (Bridgestone Blizzak winter tires): 35 mph
Z4 35i (OEM Bridgestone runflat tires): 42 mph
Lexus IS350 sedan (Goodyear F1 tires): 43 mph
Z4 35i (Michelin Pilot Super Sport non-runflat tires): 46 mph

That last test was today. The tires are 2 days old and not broken in yet, and there's still sand on the road from winter. Yet the difference in agility and corner speed fom OEM tires in incredible! It's like pulling another 0.1 g in a corner.

The 35i was tested as low as 4.3 second 0-60. That was Car and Driver or Motor Trend in 2010. Road and Track ran a 4.7.

These numbers are what they are. Just reporting the facts. Not reporting them to debate anyone.

To my knowledge. There are no such thing "official" numbers.
