Black High-Gloss Kidney Grilles
Does anyone have OEM black kidney grilles fitted on E89? I know it is very easy to remove the original grilles on E85/E86 models, but not so sure about E89.

Fitted them last week on my 30, took all of 5 minutes. There are 8 clips on each (you can see the location of them on the new ones), just release them from left to right and walk out the old grillls, then pop in the new ones. You do need kind of longish, fairly thin fingers to get to them as they are resessed a bit. I pulled the air vent off so I could see then, but no major issues.

What air vent? I don't have thin and long fingers, so I can't do it then? I tried the same technique which works on E85, i.e. lifting grill upwards and outwards at the same time, but it didn't work.

I finally collected and fitted them yesterday.
Before After I followed the instruction given by Mike on other thread. It wasn't easy as the bottom 2 clips were hard to access. I used and released final 2 on each grill. Also, the air duct was difficult to detach from the air filter box too. |
