I think its not possible then for the EU market as this cup holder is removable (the passenger side of the armrest comes with a hole socket to which the cup holder attaches. That way you can remove it and put it on when you want.

However, without the socket, the cup holder cannot attach and I surely won't be drilling any holes for a cup holder.

JohnT do you have the extended storage option on your e89 ???

Looks like you guys in the UK got ripped off. Everything else looks likes it's mirrored except that little slot. Too bad because it looks like a handy device.

It seems like it might be an easy mod to buy the part and put it in yourself, but who want to take a chance.

In Greece afaiac the extended storage is preselected as standard, but the cup holder is an extra. To be honest I could not believe how clever and sufficient the storage trays are everywhere in the car, but I had the cup holder installed about 2 weeks ago and really made things unbelievable easier and convenient. It took about 1 hour to install and looks like a charm.

Well, there you go, clydebmwz4, they can put it in for you. I had a feeling they could because the holder appears to be a separate piece of plastic inserted into the side of the console.

However, the cup hold itself would have to be available in a mirrored form to work from the left side of the console. Good luck finding that part.

I actually prefer not having it to be honest, and I don't really like the look of the "attachable" cup holder.

There is a spot for it in the glovebox. To maximize glove box space, I keep mine attached to the console at all times.

If that's your photos - thanks. Whenever I see some cool pix I copy them. Not sure where I got those exactly because I've collected a couple hundred or so since I took an interest in the Z4 and am figuring out what options I want.
