These are very easy to remove and paint. The quality is all in the prep work.
Wet sand them for 15-20 minutes each until they have a dull sheen. I put on 3 very light color coats and 2 light clear coats. I painted my inserts and cross bars in my A52 space gray and then cleared them. I purchased the paint from Bavarian Auto.

I just bought the black ones, think from the earlier year cars. About $~30 for both sides if I remember. They just pop right out. I have the non-sport bumpers
