19" wheel input - VMR V710 & Apex PS-7

I've got a 2011 35i with the Citrus Package (motorsport bits). I've been scouring forums for information and thought I'd ask a question. I've read a bunch on this forum, and there is some good information. I'm hoping a few people might chime in on this thread specific to a few questions where I'm still unclear after my reading. I'm leaning to the flow form (forged) wheels.

1. I'm looking at 19x8.5 and 19.9.5. From VMR it seems front is 35ET/ rear is 33ET from the vendor for this car. Is that reasonable?

2. What about other rear sizes - say 10" or 10.5" wide wheels?

3. What might be different between the V710 and the PS-7, beyond a few size differences?

4. What about tire sizes, specifically to the rear? On 9.5's it seems 265/30 seem common. I'm not asking for a theoretical max, but what's practical.

5. Getting to a good, flush fit with good concavity in this wheel design - any tips from those running stuff like this?

Thanks for the help! Really appreciate all the info being shared on this forum. I hope to do my share and return something back over time.

Filippo

I am running PS-7s that are 9.5 19" and an ET of 33, I have 275s on the rear, there is minor rubbing on the plastic inner fender right on the outside lip, I am sure you would have no rubbing if you ran 265s; this is what they look like

Are you rubbing all the time, or just on inclines? I'm running 19x10 et38 + PSS 275/30/19 w/o rub.

yup that is pretty standard size/offsets

2. What about other rear sizes - say 10" or 10.5" wide wheels?

dont know about 10.5 but 10" +30ish should fit nice/aggressive

3. What might be different between the V710 and the PS-7, beyond a few size differences?

weight, id guess apex might be few lbs lighter than vmr

4. What about tire sizes, specifically to the rear? On 9.5's it seems 265/30 seem common. I'm not asking for a theoretical max, but what's practical.

yes that is standard for 9.5

5. Getting to a good, flush fit with good concavity in this wheel design - any tips from those running stuff like this?

id say 25-30 offset sits really flush

Hey there ... I've seen lots of posts from you (you're famous! ) ... seriously though thanks for sharing so much. I'm planning quite a few upgrades in the next few months and your posts have been helpful.

I found some photos of your car and, with an ET38 your car looks good. Apex PS-7s come in an ET25 with 19x10 ... too much push out with 275's?

Thanks!

Filippo

lol, you're welcome fmorelli. Just shows how much free time I have on subway/ bus rides lol. I'm glad to help and support the community.

With that said, I maybe selling my wheels this spring.

Maybe switch to Forgestar cf5v, Work Emotion CR Ultimate, or Rays G50.

Not all the time, only when I have a large dip at speed, its hard to describe, but its when you hit it on the pedal and power through it and it goes up, before it heads down. Im sure if I trimmed half an inch back on the inner plastic, it wouldn't rub anymore, but I have been lazy and it happens so infrequently it doesn't bother me

I have Enkei Rainjin 19x8.5 (ET38) and 19x9.5 (ET35) with Continental Extreme Contact DW 245/35/19 and 275/30/19. Look great and no issues.
