His rears just locked up and slid across, I'm an idiot but shouldn't there be some ABS type situation that allows steering under these circumstances? Or is it turned off for the ring and the car just turns into a missile.

Mustangs are not the only cars that have had notorious exits from Cars and Coffee events.

My local Cars and Coffee at Blackhawk "featured" a BMW losing control last year. It seems like things have toned down a bit since then. Excellent event for you Bay Area members. Check it out if you have not been yet. It's proof that no matter what you spend on a car there is alway something more expensive.

Could be. I saw a dyno comparison with the old LS7 in the last gen Z/28 vs. the GT350R and they both made essentially the exact same HP, but the LS7 made much more torque.

GM wanted a normally aspirated engine for the Z06 (very large cubic inch plus high revving), but they couldn't get it to meet emissions and fuel mileage requirements, hence they went with the supercharged LT4.

With the improved, lighter chassis, aero and the same HP as the GT350R, this is going to be a monster.

Yeah but there are just, so, many. My wife and I spent an hour watching different Mustang fails at different events.

Best one was Mustang Week 2015 at Myrtle Beach or whatever. Like 4 incidents.

Interesting that the rear wheels locked, then the driver locks the front brake a couple seconds later. After the hit, the front wheels are spinning freely and the rear is still locked and then releases after a couple seconds.

There is definitely something wrong there...
