Now now people it's only a tesla. Here's something that M3 owners should be worried about since it looks like a BMW 3 series.

Was this a circuit or straight line? How long is their track if its a circuit? Genuinely curious as i didnt realize TG:US was still on air.

Ooops, I made a typo. . . it was Season 6, Episode 4.

They did not specify the track (maybe it was Thermal Club in Indio, CA??):

Cadillac - 2:01:11
Dodge - 2:05:53
Tesla - 2:05:55

Big difference between the sport sedan and muscle car! what, over 4.5 seconds difference on a 4.5 mile track! (If it is The Thermal Club, of course).

Glad someone made fun of the Ford Taurus, should of referred to it as being a big family sedan that in SHO form and nothing but a tune is ~4.5 seconds 0-60 and low 13's in the 1/4. Throw on some down pipes and some water meth and your ~4.0 seconds 0-60 and in the low 12's for less than half the price of most of these cars. Fit and finish leaves something to be desired but for half the price of everything else out there it is not too shabby as a DD.

Why I said "tested" in my original post. I realize it is a TV show. Who knows if they treated them the same.

I am guessing it was Thermal . . . I was there last year for 2 day M school and the surroundings look the same.

For such a huge car I think the SHO is pretty cool. I'm generally impressed with what Ford is putting out these days. The Ecoboost motors are no slouch.

Well admittedly I don't remember much about the show as I only watched a few episodes before giving up on it, but assuming they have a version of the Stig, I'd imagine it's a pretty fair comparison if it was done on the same day and proper journalistic integrity is present there (not deliberately sabotaging results). I've always felt that TG:UK was only honest in their comparisons when it came to the hot lap board. Entertainment is certainly a factor.
