Extended Leather Option

I am curious to hear thoughts regarding the extended leather option. From what I have seen, it looks fantastic, but I do wonder about long-term wear and tear/sun damage. Anyone have it and care to comment on how it is holding up?

I have it also. The extended leather, for the most part, is on tops of doors and dash and is black leather so gets little contact wear and sun doesn't seem to hurt it either.

it depends on how u take care of it, if ur car is falling apart after few years then leather will too

I have extended leather. The car had always been garaged. I started seeing bubbles on the dashboard few months ago. Brought it to the dealer, they are going to replace it.

Hmm now I am worried i will have the same thing. My car is running out of warranty next year.

Was it subject to heat, cold, dampness perhaps? Mine hasn't done that and my car is over 3 years old now, and we have cold, heat and a lot of dampness in the uk!

My June 2009 35i has the Kansas black extended leather with 27k on the clock, and still looks new. I have only owned it since Sept 2012, 8 months. I initially was using Lexol, but Thanx to this forum , just changed to Zaino cleaner and Leather in a bottle. I am sold on the complete Zaino system now after my 1st use, both interior and exterior.
