Is your Z4 DME IGD0S or IJE0S?

I previously used the AP to flash my car. The Cobb AP told me it was a IJE0S flash, so that is what I have always used.

Since moving to the BB flash method, I've found that my DME is actually IGD0S.

What DME software do you guys have?

Is the IGD0S an earlier version of IJE0S?

Anyone that can shed some light on this would be great!

For clarity, my Z4 is 2009 EURO spec.

So I was on the phone with Cobb today and learned a thing or 2 from their BMW tech.

The name of the rom, IMEOS, just represents a family rom which has hundreds of various flashes. The family represents a region, or some other factor, not the specific vehicle.

For instance we both have the same rom, but different years and models. But at the same time there can be 100% identical cars with even same exact build date but they may have different Roms because of some arbitrary factor such as their region. Only BMW knows why there are different rom families.

So needless to say even though we have the same rom, it doesn't mean the flash will be exactly the same.

I thought it was pretty interesting. Hope this helps out other members.
