Angel eyes light
Hey,
I did a search and found some old threads on this. I just got a loaner from the dealership with 2011 3 series and LOVE the way the new angel eyes look...nice and bright white. Any chance anyone know where to get the same bulb? Would it be a simple plug and play install? Pretty sure that OEM bulb is now on the market? Thanks in advance! |

I was at the dealer today (top off fluids and the iDrive screen was rattling...and BMW assist wasn't working; great way to start off a week of ownership huh?) the dealer didn't have any new e89s, but they had the new e9X and I gotta say, I like mine better also, for the 11s, I'm pretty sure it's more than just a bulb

Sure, but can you elaborate on what you mean by 'more'?
alex@alpinemss.com will be able to answer any technical questions I will try and answer whatever I can myself.

Someone installed the Mtechs and they looked really good on the Z4. Plenty of pics on the other forums of BMWs with Mtech cosmos blue and GP Thunders. I think the consensus is that the Mtechs are superior slightly.

I have the H8 (35Watt) "Super White" from MTEC (4350K). It still is a compromise but they are a lot whiter than the standard ones and they stay very visible even in bright sunlight. If you want them to be more blue/white (5000K and more) you loose in light output and you could go for the H11 (55Watt) instead, they will fit after a small modification. Grtzzzz |

Get them from e92-lighting. He is on the e92/1 series boards and will give discount if you ask via a PM to show you are from the forums. Ends up much cheaper than from Ebay.
