I did say "local 3M site" and by local I meant Finland. Sure, I could order it from somewhere else, but the fact that it's not in their Finnish product catalog would suggest there isn't much of a demand for it here (for whatever reason).

I had it done my Ming here and they did it this way also. It covers almost half the hood. The fellow showed me on the computer screen that the kit called for that, and that it was the way it was recommended.

You cannot cover the whole hood on the new Z4 because it is wider tan 64" due to the way it "scrolls" over the edges

Would be cool if it can cover the entire hood so we don't see a line at all. Don't they make color film that can cover the whole car? isn't it the same thing?

i have no idea - but i like the limited coverage i opted for to protect against the many rock chips that we get here in Texas

Thanks for trying bertie,

I found "Clear Shield" http://www.ditec.se/ditecbehandling/solfilm-1.aspx
but nothing from 3M.

I will call a local well-rennomed ditecshop here in Stockholm later this week to see if i can learn more about Clear Shield.

Hi
Best to contact 3M Sweden directly. Contact details are here - http://solutions.3msverige.se/wps/po.../Corp/Contact/

The product you are looking for is 3M Paint Protection Film. 3M don't fit it themselves so you will need to ask for an approved applicator. Let me know if you are still having problems and I will ask for someone to contact you direct - I work at 3M in the UK.

[QUOTE=bertie;6883252]Hi
Best to contact 3M Sweden directly.

Thanks bertie! Done that now.

After some mailing around it seems like most workshops uses "Venture Shield", at least here around Stockholm.

Don´t know why 3M aren´t in to this in the NORTH cause here we really need it in the spring.

Thanks Shadow4 and Bertie, but I think I'll take my chances rather than wrap my baby in plastic Haven't had a problem with stone chips so far and I'm hoping it'll stay that way.
