Engine oil capacity/oil filter part #

I searched my owner's manual and could not find the engine oil capacity. What is it? Also, does anyone have the part # for the oil filter for the s30i? Thanks.

Thinking about your 1200 mile break-in oil change? Great idea! Don't forget to do the gearbox oil and differential oil also.

Will BMW have a warranty issue if you don't buy their brand of filter and oil?

There are several dealers who discount their oil and filters to the point where it is the same price as any other quality synthetic oil.

ChuckB, 6.5 Liters is the equivalent of 7 quarts?
