Start at one side of the hoop, at the bottom. Grab both sides, inserting your fingernail into the gap. Pull straight, and it will eventually pop out. Move on to the other side, again bottom. Once both the bottoms are loose, then move up to the top (the actual loop area).
Hi CedarZ4,
How hard you have to pull and is that very easy to break the clip ?

Thanks !

You have to pull pretty hard. I was afraid of breaking it at first too and it just wouldn't budge and thought I was doing something wrong. And as long as you pull straight out and not at an angle, you pretty much have no chance of breaking the clip. One thing to keep in mind is to "loosen" each of them slightly before trying to pull the whole thing out completely, because if you try to pull it out by pulling only 1 corner, then the others probably WILL snap because then are you causing strain at an angle. Hence the, start at one corner, then move around.

Thanks for the information. I just purchase a windrestrictor from
King Penn and look;s pretty nice. They reply me " if you get something very flat with tape on it just pry it apart it will not scratch it just be very careful it is only one panel you have to remove. " I will try your way first and see.
The BMW dealership are pretty good and they ask me to bring the Z4 down and see they might take that hook out for me. But I try to do it myself. Worry they will scratch my paint when they lien to my Z4

I like it! Nice job and taste!

.. however from a rear view: too much red!
I nicely see some black stuffs on the rear to contract and add another color tone with the red (like black plate frame).

What about red break calipers?

Thanks for posting up - since I was always curious how mines would look. Now, I don't have to photoshop mines melbourne red to get an idea.
