If this is true I have a feeling the servers are going to crash and it will be the end of IG....but I'm not a computer guy

If they have had any planning at all, the servers should be just fine. Given that they use both local and global load balancers the load won't be that great on any one server farm.

Facebook has done videos for years. Facebook owns Instagram. I don't see this being an issue.
