Accessories: Velour Floor Mats
Hello,
happy owner of an Alpine White Z4, photos & impressions will come soon... I ordered the BMW Velour Floor Mats -extra no 423 in the catalogue, priced EUR 116 in Greece! -as the dealer suggested i should... Thing is, that the ones i got when received the car, does not look at all like BMW Floor Mats, there is not even a BMW sign on them...I noticed that they become hairy after one days' driving, and then realized that they do not even have the small clicks underneath where they click in the cars' floor... -i saw that when i test drove another Z4 & also i read a similar thread on those... Any Ideas??? |

i asked the dealer to offer them which he did, so i dont know if these are the 423 ones, when getting the car, i also thought they were non bmw ones, no Z logo etc.. but againt, they perfectly fit |

Does yours' also have those plastic hooks underneath, that clip in the floor? So as not to slip...? I have seen that on the car i test drove. Just waiting to finish from work & go to the dealer...cos i have paid for them!!!

Hi lux good
Quite sure that others on this forum from the UK mention that there were no discs fitted into the slots into the floor. Would have thought it would be fitted at the factory, being standard fit, rather than dealer doing it. Toothing problems maybe? Anyway all sorted now and enjoying it. |

There are a couple of holes in the floor, both in the drivers and co-drivers, where the floor mats are supposed to hook with a small plastic clip. This is the reason -along with the quality of the original...if it is there...- why i agreed to pay the EUR 116 to get the BMW Velour Flour Mats (extra No 423)... However, i am still not convinced i got them, i should either ask BMW itself or interrogate the dealer...

Update: went to the dealer today to ask why my floor mats were missing the velcro plastic clips... He went to the basement, came back with a small plastic bag with 4 round velcro plastic clips...and installed them to the car! -excuse was : "ouh, the guys who prepared the car forgot to fit those in...." what can i say....

Glad you sorted
Not just UK dealers then! Just got round to give my car a proper wash and wax, and found yet another blemish on the bonnet! Small but I know its there. So back off to talk to dealer, would not mind too much but its 45 mins each way.......on the other hand I can take the twisty roads way......... |
