Anyone here ever had to clean their MAF sensor?

The other day my Mazda CX-5 misfired and threw a code calling for MAF sensor service. A fairly common occurance on these engines. Anyway, I bought a kit made by CRC which includes both MAF sensor and throttle body spray cleaners. Did both while I had it apart and the engine now runs noticeably better. Got me to wondering if N54s benefit from chemically cleaning this same component and if it's as easy to do as on the Mazda. Anyone ever done it either "just because" or as part of regular or "irregular" service?

Are you sure you have a MAF sensor on you N 54? Pretty sure you won't find it.

I’m making an assumption that this device is common to all modern EFI engines. Maybe not?

The N54 uses a MAP sensor and they don't need cleaning.
