Kidney grills

Hi all. New to this forum. Just bought a 2013 E89 and want to change the kidney grills to black. Has anybody out there done the same? Looking for a recommendation where to shop. Have bought a pair in the past for my old X1 from eBay and they just didn't fit right.
Any reccommendations would be most welcome.... thanks....

Welcome, best bet is to buy BMW’s OE black grills..they retail for about £100 a pair in the UK…several E89s did have black grills as OE..

Plastic dip, paint or replace... all fairly straight forward...need to decide if you want flat (matte) or gloss black finish

I bought my black ones on eBay. The seller was partsworld2000. $183 delivered. Perfect fit.

In the USA, I got mine on my car for around 60 bucks. The great news is I resold my OEM ones on eBay for 80 so the upgrade cost me only a few bucks. First set I bought that were matte black didn’t fit at all, but these ones below fit 100%

Incase the link above doesn’t work on Amazon they are called “ E89 Grille, 1-Slat ABS Gloss Black Front Replacement Kidney Grill for Z4 E89, 2009-2016”

Welcome to the forum! When looking to change the kidney grills to black for your car consider reputable online retailers like ECS Tuning, Turner Motorsport, or BimmerWorld. These shops often provide quality aftermarket parts, and you can find reviews from other BMW enthusiasts to ensure a good fit. Checking forums or online communities specific to your car model can also offer valuable recommendations based on users' experiences. Good luck with your upgrade!
