35i vs 35is (w/ max performance upgrades)
Would it make a difference to have the 35is if you wanted to install the best performance upgrades (I guess reflash or something?), since both cars physically are almost the same? Or does the 35(?) or so extra hp/tq in the 35is still take into account?

take the 35i if you want to mod it, but IS if you dont want to do it yourself.
35i with reflash produces same power as 35is, but 35is has slightly lower ride and different exhaust, not counting any cosmetic differences. also tranny, 35is is only DCT(auto) but 35i you can get manual

I am a 35i owner with serious quality upgrades designed for power. It will now easily run with or outrun a 35is. However, those upgrades have costs $5k+. So, just buy the factory upgraded 35is and keep the warranty solidly in place - that is money better spent.

To me the Manual vs DCT is big, but you can order a 3.5i with M-Sport and DCT is only $450 extra dollars (US). Same part numbers on suspension. I wanted the 6 speed manual so I opt'ed for the 3.5i M-sport Last edited by Wiles; 07-21-2011 at 12:49 PM.. |
