Wheels always are easier to sell than tires. I see people posting tires in the classifieds here and no one even inquires about them. 17" wheels aren't as popular as the larger sizes though. How many miles on them? Probably half the msrp for starters is my guess.

Check on what others sell their complete E89 18" or 19" set..
17s is going to be a tough sell for E89 owners because it is really just a winter or track set Maybe check if it fits 3er or 1er because those come with 16s from the factory. |

Why not just keep them for winter wheels? 1100 you wont get any biters put it at 950 to detract from that 1000 mark and you should see a few interested in them.

You'll probably get more bite if you are willing to ship (which will be around $200 - this includes the shipping fee + materials needed to package). In regards to the price, I sold my OEM wheels as a set and I've gotten bites on my tires and TPMS individually, but never the wheel itself until after it was gone. I was offered $750 for the tires, around $175 for TPMS (this include shipping on my budget - so it really is more like $650 for tires and $170 for TPMS = $820). Then I figured in around $175/rim = $650, also shipping on my dime so really only $550. Add that to $820 and you should be looking at maybe around $1370 in pocket after shipping expenses. Of course, if you get the same prices without having to ship, then tack on $200 = $1570. I ended up selling the whole set for a lower price to save myself hassle and to guarantee I'm not just stuck with wheels or tires for $1400. Minus $200 shipping = $1200 take-home. That's $300 per wheel with tire, TPMS and wheel caps. Less than I expected, but again, guarantees that all parts sell. Since yours is missing the TPMS ($175) and a smaller (and I feel a less desirable size), I think you are maybe looking at $900 or maybe $1,000 in-pocket if you don't mind waiting, based on my experience. Also, can't really see your tread depth but that will effect price as well, obviously. I forgot my actual measurement but there was 4,000 miles on the tires. Hope this helps...
Edit: Saw that you are missing the wheel center caps as well, which sell for around $50 new or maybe $35-$40 pre-owned. So take that into consideration. I would let it go for $900 in-pocket if I have a bite. That sounds like a very reasonable price. Don't be too surprised if someone offers you a $800 price or even $700 price though (remember, this is all in-pocket after all expenses if you are shipping... labor not included ) as they are 17's and from what I gather through these forums, this "high-heel" model isn't exactly the highest demand design. Short version: A few months ago I would have have offered $600 for the set and walked after that because those tires would not have suited my purpose
Long version: I was considering an OEM 17" set at one point to replace my factory 19s because I wanted to mount some track day stickies (all else equal, 17" wheel + tire are a bit lighter and are cheaper...) However, there is the TPMS cost ~$200, the labor cost to swap out the all season tires with full summer tires ~$200, the actual tires ~$1000. So it would be $1200 plus cost of 17" OEM wheels plus the hassle of doing all that. It doesn't make sense to do this because I could go on tirerack.com get some brand new wheels/tires/tpms already setup with the tires and offset I want and ready to bolt on to my car for about that same money. In the end I decided to get a used complete OEM set of wheels/tires/TPMS to save a bit of money vs. going new (I was the other side of the deal Cedar referenced), and the trade off is that I'm using OEM RFT for a bit longer instead of full out HPDE spec street tires (seller was great too. I would normally not pay $1450 for a used item sight unseen from across the country) |

I sold my 2009 17" wheels with runflats through Craigs. Had about 10K on the OEM Continentals. Perfect condition, no rash and had center caps. I believe I got $500 locally so didn't have to go through the hassle of shipping.
That wasn't anything close to what they were worth, but there isn't much of a demand. (I'm in the Milwaukee Chicago area so had a reasonable size population to work with too) |

Eltee, when I was living in Chicago, I bought a set of 16" winter RFT with almost full tread, wheels and TPMS for my old 328 for $600 and sold them 2 years later for $500 so the pricing you got is very much in line with my expectation for an "unpopular" wheel size
