stealthauto.com sucks

I ordered painted reflectors from these guys on april 8, 2013 and after months of apologies and excuses, I finally got them in the mail June 15, 2013. This is what they sent me..

They look terrible. You can clearly see the blob at the bottom of the reflector where they didn't sand down the DOT marking. I was really cool with these guys through the whole waiting 2+ months for these, so I thought they would return the favor when I asked for an exchange of the horrible reflectors. NO such luck!!! This is their response after I sent them back for exchange:

The RMA for the reflectors was received today. The only blob/chip or defect found was on the tape adhesive itself which is removed to install and is never seen. The rest of the reflector from what we can see is fine. So there is no defect in the reflector that would be there or show once installed.

I notice you had sent this back for exchange but just wanted to note this as again it is not on the painted surface on the outside viable when installed only the tape that is peeled off upon installation.

Just needed to vent. Now I'm trying to get a refund. Am I the only one that can see the blob on the reflector not the tape? Not ordering anything from these guys again

Can't see anything on the reflector as the tape is still on it. Also, I'm not sure I see a defect at all. where is it exactly?

Close to the end of the reflector there is a blob where the factory imprints DOT. I didn't want to peel off the tape because I knew I was sending it back.

Oh OK i see what you're talking about. Well I guess if you're really picky, this won't work for you. In reality, if you install these you won't notice those little bumps. someone ran a shopping cart in to the left rear bumper cover and dinged the paint pretty good. I applied touch up paint and it doesn't look perfect, but frankly, I don';t even notice it at all. FWIW.

Yeah, I also have a few dings that I had to touch and not really notice until I wash the car, but in the couple months I had to wait for these they were telling me every few weeks that the batch didn't turn out how they liked and I had no problem waiting for a good batch. I guess I expected perfection with this one being their good batch after 2 months of trying.

they all come like that I believe, even if they sent you another one. I had mine sprayed and it looks like that too. I guess you can try and ask them to send you another set that's sanded down before painted.

Well that sucks...I just ordered another set from a different company. I just assumed that any painter would prep and smooth surface before painting

for things like thsi i take them to a local body shop give them my color codes from the VIN and pick them up a few days later. I dont have this knd of problem. I will however say that I do specify what I want them to look like and what you posted above is not acceptable at all for me. Sorry for the issue my friend
