Next week the railway will start do it in Januari 3-4 times , and block the trains , that's on the Belgian newspapers !
This year with had several times also the farmers stepping around in Brussels without any result !
But for companies it's not easy by the new laws..
When people/employees block a company they need to pay the losses of the company and end up in jail ...
But actually we are used to the fact that they screw our balls over the years !

a company and recycling expenses through it and not having a salary but cashing in once a year will cut back on taxes a lot. Keeping the company in debt will help too.

Actually it's useless and we have 0 change .
We had this year 2-3 national strikes in Belgium .
But 75% of the people went to work !
The reason why is simple => Afraid to lose our jobs !
Companies fire people like a piece of shit , and I saw enough over the years and hope to keep my job because nothing serious is left .

It somewhat makes sense, at least within each specific tax bracket. As you climb into the higher strata of an individual tax bracket, your effective rate (all other things equal) tends to decrease.....that is, until one gets into the subsequently higher tax bracket. THen, of course, there is the point that people start living off of invested capital....that's when effective rates really drop.

If everything else is equal, how is your effective rate decreasing? You'd need increasing deductions/credits for that.

Come up to Canada, between federal and provincial income tax, property tax, Harmonized Sales Tax, user fees etc. more than half of our household income is gone before I have a dollar to pay for my mortgage, groceries or any other damn thing......and our Premier looks like Orville....

And you guys can't deduct your mortgage interest, which is why we have 3 car garages, earn less than you, owe more, while you live in a tiny 2800 sq ft home that you'll pay off by the time you're 35.
