Looks really good. Could you please post close up pics front and rear, IE just the wheel/tire/brakes?

Car looks great. So jelly of the larger rear rotor you 35is guys have. It looks like the front rotor on my 35i.

Funny, I went with Cquence rotors as well. I was impressed by their quality and fitment.

2011 Z4 with M Performance front brake kit and Cquence Rotors

Braking feels somewhat better than the IS standard calipers, but to be honest the IS brakes where pretty good, so I did it mostly for looks. If you have an IS changing would provide a modest gain in braking performance, but I suspect it would be a big difference in braking if you have a 35i or less. I purchase my paint for the rear from express paint #274 Mugello Red. Basically cleaned, tape, and brushed the paint on with brakes in place. It has held up fairly well, almost a year with just a couple of chips that need touch up. Close up pics!

Junto- you state that your "Experience with just H&R lowering springs have not been stellar. 5mm spacer in the front and 12mm in the rear. "

What have issues, problems or your concerns with the H and R springs alone have you experience?
Performance issues? rubbing? Please advise.

First thanks everyone for all the postive comments. To answer the question regarding H&R lowering springs experience. Frankly the ride is very bouncy but not all the time. It's hard to explain but when I'm on a road with minor to moderate dips/bumps it's like the adaptive suspension can't keep up so the ride gets bouncy. The bounce in some cases has caused me to slow down for fear of losing control of the car. I fine that putting the car in sports + mode amplifies the issue 2 fold. Then there where times when those same dips/bumps didn't cause the car to bounce as much.

It seems that the adaptive suspension is not adapting well to the lowering springs. It also could be that my struts may be going out too, so I'm hesitant to point the finger at the lowering springs/stock adaptive suspension combo. So to eliminate the problem without really getting to the root cause I'm opting for Coilovers, plus H&R sway bars. Hopefully I can get to the same ride height with the coilovers cause I really like how well the springs lowered the car. Which was well lower than .75" H&R advertised. It was more like a 1.5" drop. I'm guessing cause I didn't measure the height prior to putting on the lower springs, but looking at a stock 35is at the dealership it is definitely more then .75".

As far as rubbing is concern, I had a little rubbing on the rear inner lining, so I modified(cut) the rear inner lining so it wouldn't rub. it's a $90 dollar part and 20mins worth of work per side. I will simply buy new one's when I'm ready to return the car back to stock for trade in or sell.

One thing for anyone considering the M Perf front brake kit mod. Be prepared to ditch the dimpled/slotted rotors that come with the kit. They make a lot of noise, well at least for me they did. I switched to the Cquence rotors and couldn't be happier. Like Hujan said it's a very good quality rotor. No issues or noise thus far. I guess you could just buy the M Perf calipers only and buy the rotors somewhere else.

Now why didn't I think of that earlier. Scratch that, I have some nice slotted and dimpled rotors for sell.

Love the ride and the color!

I always thought the rotors only come in gold color, what is the part number on this?

Is it possible to just get the rotors fitted?

Thanks! The brake kit is actually for the F30 3 series M Performance Brakes. They will bolt on the front without modification on Z4's. Obviously for electronic parking brake reasons the rear is a bit tricky. I assume if you don't won't the parking brake you can make use of the rear kit as well.

Figures, the first thing I did was go to the forums to see if others are having the same issue. It was a mix bag. Some complaining about the same sound I experienced and others happy with no noise at all. The noise I experienced sounded liked bubble wrap popping. It would get louder the faster I go.

From your question i assume you mean calipers??? If so, the answer is I don't think so. The M perf rotors(370x30) are bigger than factory rotors(348x30).You can go to RealOEM.com search for F30 335i M Performance brakes. You should be able to locate part numbers for individual components there. I suspect a site like getbmwparts.com or any BMW parts dept will be able to sell you just the components you want.

Bumping this thread.

Juntoa, do you have links to which Cequence rotors you ordered for the front and rear?

Also, do we think 18" wheels, specifically VMR v810, would clear the 370 mm rotors in the front?

Beautiful looking Z btw

Ive got a 23i and was wondering about the loss of parking brake. I know the rear has an ebrake so what do you mean by "if you dont mind losing the parking brake?"

OP how did you get ebrake to work pls? is f30 system plug and play?

If I have a 23i do you think getting the 35is brakes would be good enough for novice occasional track use?

TIA!

How are the rotors holding up? I'm deciding between these and the BrakePerformance ones, but I am leaning towards the CQuence.

Also, it looks like they don't make these anymore? Having trouble locating the F30 M-Performance front rotors (370mm) on their website.

That's really awesome. I will upgrade from 348mm as well. I have discussed that with a guy who also upgraded from 348mm to 370mm and he told me that the difference was tremendous...

Do you think the 400mm breaks from M5 (F10) would fit? I guess the 19" wheels would be too small for them.
