adaptive suspension Sport setting dialed in for marketing purposes instead of optimized wheel control And F30post forum members wonder why I advocate for the Option 704 fixed dampers instead of the adaptive dampers |

Sounds like a great car-lower, wider, lighter and stiffer. Terrific appearance too.

435i is much heavier and less nimble, more expensive. It doesn't make sense to buy this car unless you like its looks. If space is a deal breaker, get the E92.

Weight for the 435 8 Spd auto is apparently 3575lb which is about the same as the e92 (and the e89)
As for nimble, a bit premature to judge before you have driven it no? I think the only clear cut argument for e9x is getting an older one with n54 to heavily modify |

Z4 for sure! Smaller cars are much more fun to drive in the switch backs. If you need space, then wait for the 4 series.
Z4 is rare/exclusive and has a timeless look. |

It really depends what your other car is. To me, a Z4 35i and X5 would be an ideal garage.
Since my lady insists on driving the Z4 as her daily, I am looking to get an E90 M3 as our other car. When we have kids, we'll add an X5. I am really not liking what I'm seeing from the 4 Series, tbh. It looks like a Honda Civic to me. |

You must be wearing those special Japanese glasses my friend. That's quite a statement.

The 4 series is a nice machine, but the reason to buy the 4 (or 3 ) series over the Z is apples and oranges. Your buying a 4 seater hard top vs the Z and all the reasons to have a 2 seat hard top convertible sports car.
You are not in a 4 series sports car, but a 4 series sport sedan.
