Good Price?

Hey guys I am trying to price out a new 2011 3.0 Z4. I want a pretty specific one, so I have to order it. I am looking at a Deep Sea Blue Metallic, with auto, cold weather package, iPOD, and alarm system, and brushed aluminum. The best quote I have gotten was about $580 over the invoice price I found on edmunds.com, which is around $3400 off sticker. Do you think this is a fair price or could I do better?

$3400 is okay but not great. You should be able to get >8% off sticker.... somewhere near $47k if I did the options correctly.

8% is a lot.... I have owned four from three different dealers and 4-5% is the best I could ever do even walking out !!

Having owned so many BMWs, perhaps they just knew you'd turn around and come back without having to go any lower

My old dealer quoted me 7.5% on a 2011 during the middle of March. I was planning on doing PC delivery since it's so close. I also bought the last Z4 model with same discount. Great deals in my opinion. Sadly I ended up not ordering the '11 due to an ongoing issue with my X3 and the incompetency of the local BMW dealers. The local dealer here told me they would only do 3% even though they could do better they choose not to. I've discussed this in other threads.
