first off buy yourself an ER intercooler, it is the best one in my opinion you can buy. Its amazing how fast it will able to cool your engine. Especially living in Texas, it a major plus for me. Secondly if i were you i would go with the AR CATLESS down pipe. It will probably be the best money you every spend, you will feel instant power change and the car is a lot more enjoyable. Heres are the link

Downpipe.

i also have a thread about the AR DOWNPIPE if you want to watch the video.

Regarding downpipes they are e89 dedicated only, so your only options are ar from the US and some small companies in Germany you can find on ebay.de. You can as well modify your stock dp by having a shop replace the cats with straight pipes which is a nice and easy alternative if you don't intend to revert back to stock ever and which will retain the flex section, a big plus imo.

On fmic you have plenty options, many run the er unit and all report satisfied. There is also the stett one which is by design the best imo but it's a pita to install and perhaps a bit odd to deal with this company and then there is the wagner unit from germany which is huge and may generate a bit more lag but it is the most p'n'p of them all, no cutting, no hassle, you drive away in 20 minutes.

I have the AR downpipes for the 335i installed, perfect fit on my 35i Z4.

I've heard from multiple vendors that the 335i downpipes won't fit our Z4's. Any chance the ones you have are actually for a Z4? Just curios since the Z4 pipes are so expensive, would love to try out the cheaper 335i downpipes.

iskenter usta is another option, but I strongly recommend the AR Catless DP.

Actually, thanks for questioning this Zteve as there were two minor mods made to fit the AR downpipes at install. The rear Lambda sensor (front turbo DP) needed to be moved slightly (make the sensor sit horizontal rather than slight incline) as it rubbed on the under frame ribbing; and the bolt connections to the mid pipes needed to be rotated 90 degrees to align. Both mods took about 15 minutes each for the installer.

Also mine are catless pipes.
