Took a Drive

Greetings everyone.
Took a drive to the Florida Everglades this morning. Couldn't find an alligator close enough for a photo so took a few off of a bridge camera aiming south.
Cheers!

Nice roadster OP. I'm jealous, probably a full month or more before mine comes out of winter hibernation. Miss the panhandle sometimes, except for the pollen, and the lightning, oh and the palmetto bugs -

As a fellow Floridian, I generally drive mine early weekend mornings... during the winter, when the temp drops to 40, seat heat is great.

Looking very nice

Would love to drive mine down there, alas that creates a few expensive logistical problems as I'm in the UK

I get up early on the weekends. If the wife's asleep and I get motivated to take a drive I usually hit the everglades. No curves no mountain passes, but there's minimal traffic and numerous opportunities to find alligators while surrounded by prehistoric vegetation.
Cheers!

Wow, stunning car Belaire62.

Also, that stretch of road (hwy 41) has an interesting history. In addition to having the smallest post office in the nation, that stretch of land is where the Florida's highway patrol actually started!
See you there!
Cheers

I'm pretty sure those are 18". Belair62 has the only 19" option that came on the E89 Z4 as far as I know. I also believe they were specific to the 35is.

Mr Geek say…”the 326M 19” was fitted to all E89s 18i, 20i, 23i, 28i, 30i, 35i, 35is through out its production run…and was available as an option on most cars at purchase..

The 276 and 296 19” wheels were options in several markets”

B21,

I'm sure it varied by market, but I forgot all about the 296's. I believe the 276 was only in 17" & 18"?

IMO 19" 296 wheels are the most Z4 specific wheels out there... Those 326 M fivespoke wheels were available on many bmw-s. Kind of a generic goto M style wheel.

Dont get me wrong they are still nice...

But AFAIK 19" 296 wheels have only been available on e89 z4 and not on any other bmw model from factory... That IMO makes them rarer and more special in my eyes.

But that just me praising my own stuff..

276 was available in 17, 18 and 19 sizes... but 19 im guessing is very rare... This wheel is more like for winter setup... I have a 17" 276 set for winter and 296 19" set for summer....

I like the 326M on a "sports car" themed Z4's (black or red leather, silver interior trim, M sport bumpers). I prefer the 296 wheels on a "sport coupe" themed Z4 (tan interior, wood grain trim, standard bumpers). Both are actually pretty solid for a stock wheel.

Let's not talk about the stock E85 Z4 wheels.

I loved the 107s on the E85…

I’ve never seen a set in the US on a Z4, but didn’t pay much attention to the Z4s when new.

Like your idea of themes... mine is definitely coupe themed...

Most esthetic mods out there dont really work with the brown metallic paint and white interior...
all sorts of carbon bits like mirror caps, lip trunk spoilers or bumper extentions dont fit with it..
in the interior same thing... carbon trim wouldnt work, even a red starter button mod would look out of place in it..
So i just try to keep it stock looking and clean...

white, black and red cars go well with mods... yellow too...
