Gas Milege / Tuning

I drive like a grandma to be honest. I have intake, intercooler and exhaust. I will be getting a tune very soon after everything gets installed. Based on my driving scenario...how would my gas milage be affected after tune is done. Meaning that I'm not punching it from light to light but daily driving to and from work.....

Who are you kidding, when you are FBO, 90% of the time you will do some pedal stomping. Seriously though, I drive in Sport mode 100% of the time, especially with the Cobb tune. The power is almost instant, I mean it comes on much faster than leaving in Normal mode. My gas mileage not so great, but manageable averaging 15 mpg. You should get downpipes before you get your tune(I hear and feel a difference right after installing my downpipes), so you can install or get the most optimal tune for your car.

I'm averaging 24.5 mix city / highway. 90% pedal stomping??? This is my daily driver,I don't need to be punching it like that on a daily basis. I just want to make sure that this car will maintain its milege or increase after the tune.

Our e89 has a FMIC, DPs, ESS tune, Charge Pipe with Dual DVs, and Eisenmann race exhaust - it is also babied and we get really good gas mileage. Plus Michelin PSS.

I was being sarcastic with the first sentence, lighten up. I don't know about you, I always drive in sport mode and sometimes sport+ and do some spirited driving, not like an idiot weaving in and out, but whenever there are long stretches with barely any cars, especially along 2222 during lunch hour 2222 @ 360 up to the hill. I am sure Vintage know what I am referring to.

More boost more fuel intake required. No way you should get more gas mileage.

staying off the gas definitely results in some mpg improvement from stock as our original window sticker says only 24 mpg highway, and we do much better than that

Vintage what tune do you have installed, assuming you have Cobb.
I am currently on Stage2+ Linear Aggressive. The best mpg I got cruising highway speeds was 21mpg in Sport mode. In stop and go daily driving, I'll be lucky to get 17mpg.

More boost, more fuel, so I am perplexed at getting more than 24mpg even with higher boost throughout the rpm range. I'll try it out for a week in slow mode Normal see if mpg are any better.

Only spot was to the left under the vent, didn't find any other spot that is not noticeable when you remove the holder...avoid prying eyes.

I get average ~24mpg always in sport mode. Have ESS on stage 2, exhaust, and huge 20in Vossens running 295 in the rear.

Sorry - we have the ESS stage 1 tune or stage 2. I would have gone with COBB but when I first had the car tuned (4 years ago, there was no Cobb tune available). The stage 1 is what I roll with because, frankly with our mods, the stage 2 is too much.

My mpg is about the same. I am FBO: intake, IC, CP, DP, and full exhaust. I am on Stage2+ LT Aggressive. After my tune, when I first notice my mpg going down, I fret about it like you but then I just accepted it as the price to pay for more boost and power and didn't think about it anymore.

I usually get 28-32 mpg when cruising long-distance at a constant 60mph. Needless to say, this is a rather boring way to put miles on your Z4..... In normal city driving I hit around 16-17 US mpg. I haven't noticed any significant changes to these numbers before or after ESS. Also, I am not FBO...

Getting 24.1 with Cobb stage 1 on a 35iS. I dont drive my car hard at all. I think i floored it for the 1st time this year last weekend as the torque it make is more than enough here. Speeding tickets for 7mph over the limit are 200 usd.
