Roadstergal, I think your Orion silver is similar color to the 650 that I had almost bought in 2006 called Mineral Silver. It looks great!

when I saw that orion silver in the showroom I didnt think it looked that good, but when you see it out on the street, it definately looks classy.

I agree. I was first going to go with the DSB. On the internet, the Orion Silver looked good in some pictures and not so good in others. When I saw it in person, I was sold. It looks more silvery with a hint of bronze in person. In some photos online it looked kind of beige which I did not like. I love it and I kind of wanted something different from my previous color choices.
Thanks, I think it looks classy, too.

Thanks flpnout, you made my pictures look better than the originals!

Coming in late...

Better late than never...

They were going to throw in free floor mats, but the 35is comes with mats, so I am getting free hats and a desk top model, half price wind deflector and $100 off the leather protection pack (for the ivory interior).

In terms of haggling, I got over 10% of the on the road price, but it was a case of right place at right time.. Winter is definately the time to buy a convertible, especially if you are happy with one of the existing cars already on the boat from Germany.
Lucky for me the last one left on the boat was exactly on of the two colours / interiors I wanted...

Car cover is a great idea to compensate me for being stupid. I will get it!
Shadow, if you need to drive your Z4 in the winter I am sure you can find a slightly used set privately.

I got a $20- gift certificate and black rubber floor mats as a gift when I picked up my Z4

RD, I will never drive the car in the winter if it's not a matter of life and death. She's going to be 10 cm up in the air from November to April (give and take a few weeks depending on weather) I expect her to have done max 50000 km in 10 years when my son get his license. So he doesn't have to drive around in an Scalextrix-car! :-)
