just got a Z8 sdrive23i Msport Hiline

As the topic indicates, I've (in the last 2 weeks) just taken delivery of my car. It's and ex dealer demo car, but I'm pleased with it.

…..2011 BMW Z4 sdrive 23i Msport Hiline…..

It seems to have a top notch stereo/satnav/bluetooth/phone/everything computer system in it, including the ability to play DVDs.

I know that it's a long car (long bonnet anyway) with restricted visibility out the rear window, and I will acclimatise to it, but in the interests of sanity and my bank balance I'm thinking about front and rear parking sensors but was wondering, if I were to fit a reversing camera, can I plug it into the 'computer' to see what the camera sees.

Having searched the internet I can't find a simple answer, so any help is greatly appreciated

Has anyone done this? any experiences?

Cheers

Oh and if anyone knows about cruise control, then I'd also like to hear from them!!!!

You mean the car didn't come with cruise control? Cruise control should be a standard feature, at least here in the US. Or do you want to know how to use it? Do you have a manual?

Every new Z4 owners, I recommend watching as many vids from this link as possible: http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Conte...LoYocd++9m6Mw=

But isn't your salesperson suppose to show you how to operate almost the whole facet of running the vehicle? This has been the case with all my car purchases, the salesperson walked me through every feature of the car.

I've owned cars from many different manufacturers, but this is my first BMW. IMHO the cruise control operation is most counter-intuitive.

In the UK cruise is an option….. one that wasn't fitted to the (ex-demo) car I bought unfortunately.

Thanks for the link to alexshop. I'll be taking a close look,

Oh and thanks for the video links, very useful. Will definitely take a closer look as it will probably save me hassle trying to come to terms with the system.

Cheers

What I want to know is, how on earth did you manage to get Z8 into the title... the 4 and 8 keys are nowhere near each other Or are you a closet numeric keypad user

I would suggest that I'm probably a complete idiot

What's worse I don't even notice till you pointed it out……….

But will go some way to explain why I may need someone to fit any farkles to the vehicle rather than being trusted to do it myself
