New Z4 Ordered Today

For those of you who remember my posts, BMW bought back my 2011 Z4 35i. I ordered the replacement today:
2012 Z4 35i
Melbourne Red / Black Kansas
6 MT
M Sport
Premium Package
Premium Sound
Nav
Cold Weather Package
CA
18" wheels

Euro Delivery is set for February 24. My previous Z4 was supposed to be a Euro Delivery but I got shut down by the volcano in 2010, so I get another chance now!

Blew one of the turbos twice, out of service for 5 weeks. BMW couldn't have been nicer throughout this process. No hassle, no money.

I am in the early stages of ordering a 35i with the MT and M sport package but I am being told by the CA that the combination isn't available on the ordering system. I have also found that using the BYO is tricky to configure with these options and that when the build is done the M sport package is not in the summary/email/print.

Can you tell me how you were able to order your car with these options?

I ran into exactly the same problem. I think the BYO software is screwed up. After I built it and tried to print, it changed the car's color and options. Anyway, as far as the dealer is concerned, I don't know what the prob is there. I do know that you can't order an MT without the MSport. I originally wanted to get an MT with just the regular sport package and they couldn't do it. Ultimately, the salesperson contacted the ordering department at BMW and got the OK. But then I changed my mind and went for the MSport. Your salesperson is giving you different info than I got.
What else are you getting in the car?

I am not sure what year your car is but I could configure the options correctly with the 2011MY in December but the 2012 BYO seems to be different.

Good choice on the tranny. A 6MT makes the car so much more fun to drive.

Since the Ivory leather is not available this year I am leaning towards the Beige interior. All the official photos are with Beige.

The new Canyon Brown looks nice and soft but I don't think it will look good with the DSB.

Thoughts?

Except for color, your car is equipped just like mine. Nice choices! I'm not sure what the brown leather feels like. I would hope that it's softer than the regular Kansas leather. BMW really seems to cheap out on the Kansas leather. The white leather was really nice; too bad it's D/C'd. I agree - the brown leather won't look good with DSB. I personally like black.

I basically have the same build, just MY2011 and diff colors. But options/pkg are all the same, so i dont see why you cant get it.

Personally, i wouldnt get beige interior.

the beige interior goes very well whit dark exterior like DSB or Black.

I think a color like beige doesn't belong on a roadster, IMHO.

I just traded in my 2009 Corvette Red with Beige interior. I ordered my Z4 Deep Sea Blue with Black. Sports cars especially Corvettes don't look as good with Beige interior as they do in black or red. My 62 Vette was white with red. Picture a white 62 with beige interior. Picture a 63 Split window vette in silver with beige interior. Now picture it with red interior. It's a personal choice, but in sports cars, color is a big deal.
