I hate it.. it's like Frankenstein, should never wear the 6 series badge. The only people who will like this are blind people but then I doubt their dogs would hop in as they are too embarrassed!

At what point in your life do you decide you need a hatchback 5 series? Just get the touring! I very much doubt even if this was offered to those who receive the correct benefits on mobility they would sit there and say ... ' yes that's for me, I've made it in life'

I was laughing in agreement with him actually.

It should handle better than a truck because it isn't. it's a sedan that BMW thought they should make taller, which is STUPID. Sleeker roofline should mean lower ride height, not the opposite.

I'm not a huge fan of how the GT handled on stock suspension. EDC helps (what I had on my old car), but the coilovers I have are a different story. Now it handles like how a BMW should.

Power delivery is decent, but with a tune, again, different story.

I think people would've hated this less if they kept the 5GT name. Axing the 6GC for this is something even I, an owner of a 550GT, wholeheartedly disagree with.

Don't try defending this move, because there is little justification IMHO. This is coming from one of the people who have helped change the GT's reputation, at least according to my 50k followers on Instagram.

Is this really a ~300lb weight savings over the outgoing 5GT w/ N55 and xdrive? That's pretty impressive.

Definitely an improvement over the original, but can't say it doesn't bug me that this is called a "6er"

Interested to see what becomes of the 4GC + 3GT -> 4GT.

Also I think everyone's forgetting that this is supposed to be to an actual 6er what the 2AT is to the 2er: Odds - sedans, wagons; evens - coupes, convertibles, 4-door coupes and "non-wagon-but-non-SUV-ride-height 5-door designs". No one's saying this is a "replacement for the F13 or F06".

I'm holding out for the 850e xdrive iperformance shooting brake! (actually, that sounds awesome).
