is this the right price for the labour?

I have recently bought 09 35i and

trying to install M aerodynamic bumpers(front and rear)

The shop around my town told me it will cost around $1200

for installing and painting. is this the right price for labor?

At $85/hr that 14 hours to removal old bumpers, install new, prep and paint the new ones.

At $55/hr that 21 hours

So between 2 and 3 days to do the work - not bad.

I dont think it's the right price.
Even in Canada (Higher labour charge and tax), it costs 300 for each.
So about half the price you are quoted.
I think you can definitely find cheaper shop.

+1

I agree with Teague. A quart of color, a quart of clear, flex additive, Painting material alone is likely to cost $150. R&R of both bumpers 4-5 hrs each. Most BMW shop rates are in area of $80-100/hr.
