e89 Statistics: Miles?, MPG?, Top Speed attained?, 0-60?, etc

I am just curious how people "use" their cars. I live in Germany so yes, I've romped on my car a bit. Picked up car in June and almost have 9000 miles on it! That number makes me sick, but I can't stop driving it!

sDrive30i

Miles: about 9000

MPG average: about 21MPG

Top speed: 155mph!!

0-60: no way to measure...don't have on of those accelerometer thingys...yet!

mostly weekend getaways, 19 mpg, 700 miles on the odometer, maybe 100 mph tops, there is this funny thing called speed limit here in the US
I won't try the 0-60 until maybe 1500miles

sDrive30i

Kilometers: about 17,000

MPG average: about 29.7

Top speed: 250kph, can't afford the remap to rise it to 286kmh

0-60: also no way to measure...don't have on of those accelerometer thingys...and don't think I will ever get one as this car was my wife's idea [really long story]

How fast do you guys find your 30is when you let loose? is there enough torque for a decent kick? I drove a 23i last weekend and didn't find it as exciting as I'd hoped, trying a 30i this coming Sat.

There is more than enough kick to max out your fun meter, I favorably compare it to my last Gen 4 Z28 Camaro with the LT-1 and a manual 6 sp, but a lot more refined, and much more forgiving when you violate the laws of physics. i drove the 35 and while it has a bit more power, it did come across a bit heavier in the front end, so went with the 30 as it just seems better balanced for the twisties

IMHO, the 30i is plenty fast to get you in trouble

In a coupe he might have you by a tenth of a second but sedan is dead even (according to the official BMW specs)....gotta love physics, weight to power ratios

don't most threads get hijacked at some point - anyway, not quite 1,000 miles yet on the car so I will hold off on mpg and 0-60 statements until it is truly broken in

yes, hijacked...and im pretty sure i did it...oops! I mean, can you hijack your own thread? well yeah, i'm still trying to figure out an accurate way of measuring 0-60 time. i know BMW always posts a higher number than what their cars are capable of.

Road & Track ran a full road test and did 0-60 in 4.8 sec. in the 35i. That is a full .2 seconds better that the BMW claim of 5.0 sec.

How is a 30i going to keep pace with a 335i coupe?
The 35i would run right along with the 335i, but the 30i would be about .5 - .7 seconds behind both the 335i and 35i.

I've got 4000 miles on my 35i. I've averaged about 23 mpg, with mostly commuting, and 2 long trips. The first was mostly highway with a 27-28 mpg average, the second was 1600 miles with hard running and a 23 mpg average.

I think I hit 120mph once just to open her up a bit after break in.

look on the BMW website and the specs....35i kills the 335i and the 30i will keep up with the 335i.........the 3 series weighs way more than the Z......weight power ratio dude!
