New car: Z4M -> 35is

Hi.

Just bought myself a 2010 35is 8)
Coming from two Z4 M Coupes I wanted to try something new.

Since I am only crusing with my cars and maby some spirited driving occasionally I thought that the E86M wasn't the car for me.

Well my friend posted that he was gonna sell his mint condition 2010 E89 and I thought what the heck. I had a M6 E63 before so I "knew" how it was to drive a SMG but the DCT is light years a head.

I haven't driven so much yet but I looooove the car. Haven't missed the 3rd pedal at all.

I thought that if you have any question about the switch feel free to ask. I know that there are people out there thinking of doing the same move.

Congratulations on picking up your E89. The car looks like it was very well maintained.

Very nice setup and I love those rims! The blacked-out side marker upgrade is a nice touch to an all white car. Is this Alpine white or metallic mineral white? I've been meaning to do the same on my mineral white.

Congratulations!!!

I have so many questions.... but I?ll start with:

1. how?s the daily driving seat comfort on both?
2. Does the added weight make that much of a difference in normal/spirited driving?
3. Is the electric steering in the 35is similar to the bicep building effort on the Z4M? ??

Sold my E46 M3 convertible for one of these two and am very interested in what you have to say!

Thank you

1. These seats are much more comfy then the M. They dont look so nice but I sit much better here + they have adjustable side bolsters. 1-0 E89

2. They way I use my car just cruising I dont feel any difference except this one is hell lot faster. ESS stage 1 around 400HP. I does not feel heavy and the car sounds awesome for beeig a turbo. 2-0 E89

3. The steering in normal is not so nice, to light. Put it in sport and it becomes heavier but no way near the Z4M. 2-1 E89

This car is better overall for me. I dont track my cars just fast sprints and cruising around

Feel free to ask more questions.

/ Filip

THanks for the response Filip. As classic as the Z4M is, this car better fits my lifestyle. Hope you enjoy many years with her.
