Question European Delivery and BMW Routes

I am going to pick up my new Z4 in about 4 weeks. I am getting the Nav system. I want to be able to use BMW Routes to plan my european trip before I go, so I can just put the Thumbdrive in the USB and go. I don't want to sit at the Welt for an hour to get the route figured out. When you go to the BMW Routes website it says that you need to be a BMW ConnectedDrive customer to be able to download the routes. I asked my salesman for help, he said he would look into it, that was a week ago. I have emailed European Delivery and called and left them a message with no response. I am not sure there is really anyone there. Has anyone been able to use BMW Routes? How do you become a BMW ConnectedDrive customer before you actually pick up your car?

That's a tad frustrating, not getting a response from BMW.

However, instead you could 'Google' your proposed route and note particular towns/freeways/etc en-route for a start!

How on earth are you going to drive from Germany to Utah! The mind boggles.

I'm taking delivery tomorrow of my 35i....I wish I'd had the option to pick it up from Germany....but not poss from UK ()

But, what a fabulous part of the world you come from! I just spent a week in Arizona...up to the Canyon, then back down and across to Tombstone!

I just created and saved a route to a USB drive without a login...

It is beautiful country here. We are excited to pick up our car, but after spending time in Europe I will have to wait almost 2 months until my car arrives at my dealership. Of course it will not be convertible weather when it arrives, but it will be worth it.

Were you on BMW-Routes.com? When we tried we got the whole itinerary planned then when we tried to save it, it said that we needed to log in.

My husband called European Delivery this morning. They said to call BMW USA. BMW USA told us to check with out local Service Manager. He said he didn't know how we could get a log in but he will check on it. They said no one had ever asked them that before. They will call the regional Sales Manager. I know that ConnectedDrive is not available in the US, but I think we should still be able to get a route from BMW Routes.
